A powerful cycle of reciprocity

Every year, countless shelter, rescue, and foster animals wait for a second chance at safety, care, and connection. At the same time, humans face unprecedented levels of loneliness, stress, and emotional disconnection.

Take a Pawse brings humans and animals together, creating space for mutual healing and growth. Animals build trust, find calm, and develop the social skills that help them thrive and find permanent homes. Humans rediscover presence, connection, and a kind of communication that needs no words.

Our mission is to enable this powerful cycle of reciprocal "rescuing" — where humans help animals and animals help humans.

re-ignite empathy, joy, and playfulness

ease distress, calm the nervous system

reduce loneliness, foster connection
offer effortless communication
create grounding and emotional safety

Rescue runs two ways 🐾

🐾 time together can...

Currently, we work with a small group of our own dogs and cats with rescue backgrounds, as well as a rotation of foster animals, in pop-up events in and around Berlin.

As we grow, we plan for extended collaborations with local and international animal shelters and rescues, and will expand to include other types of animals - including rats, horses, goats, and chicken.
We're looking now for our own fur-ever home in the heart of Berlin, while simultaneously renovating our future remote farmstead site in Brandenburg.
Want to collaborate? We’d love to hear from you if you’re...

- a therapist or counselor looking to incorporate animal assisted integration in your practice

- a life and/or career coach looking for in person activities with your clients

- a yoga teacher or breathwork facilitator, looking to create a new kind of experience
